Epic Games and ChAIR Entertainment have unveiled Infinity Blade, an action-RPG for iOS devices. This game, previously announced under the name "Project Sword," will be the first game for iOS devices to use Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3. With Infinty Blade, Epic Games intends to push the graphical power of mobile devices and demonstrate the viability of big budget games on the platform. There has been no word on how much the game will cost, but it will be released sometime this holiday season.
People who have an iOS device and want to see what Infinity Blade might look like can download the Epic Citadel app that was released when "Project Sword" was first announced. This app lets the player freely explore an environment from Infinity Blade, albeit without any characters or gameplay.
