When Mega Man Legends 3 was first revealed, the game's development staff promised that fans would be able to participate in the development in the game, but didn't give any details. That has changed, and Capcom has pulled back the curtain on the first step of this process.

Capcom has organized a competition among many of its internal artists to create a new female character who will have an important role in Mega Man Legends 3. They have created nine different designs, and they are now letting fans decide which one will be in the game with an online poll. These designs and the poll itself can be found on the Capcom-Unity site here. Be warned that you must have an account at Capcom-Unity and be logged in to vote. This is apparently just the first step of fan involvement with the game's design, so additional polls may appear in the future.
