Square Enix has announced that its PSP remake of the PlayStation classic, newly titled Star Ocean: Second Evolution, will be released not on January 6, but January 20, 2009. This is the second of the Star Ocean games to come out on the PSP system, the first being Star Ocean: First Departure, which was released in October.

The remastered PSP version of Star Ocean: Second Evolution will feature a revised game engine and battle system, as well as fully voiced animated scenes that are brand new. For more information, RPGamers can check out Square Enix's official Star Ocean website.
