ESRB has Way with Atlus's World

My World, My Way

A new Nintendo DS game recently popped up on the ESRB website called My World, My Way. From the game's rating summary, this is assumed to be a localized version of Sekai wa Atashi de Mawatteru, where the player takes on the role of a "selfish" princess-adventurer who can change the world to fit her will. The player can alter the grid-based environment, such as changing a square of the terrain from a forest to a grassland, and this will be required by certain quests given to the princess. New types of environments are unlocked as the game is played. My World, My Way uses a turn-based combat system, and to an extent the player can control the enemies and their presence in certain areas. Battle and item bonuses can also be controlled somewhat, and the princess can find partner creatures which help her along the way, too.

The ESRB has given My World, My Way a rating of E for Everyone, with some alcohol reference, mild fantasy violence, and mild suggestive themes. The game is going to be published by Atlus, and it was developed by Global A. My World, My Way could hit stores in late 2008, but will most likely be released sometime in 2009.

UPDATE: Atlus just announced that My World, My Way will be released in North America on February 3, 2009.
