SEGA's Valkyria Chronicles for the PlayStation 3, which was shipped earlier this week, has plans to release downloadable content to North American and European shores. Christopher Kaminski, associate producer at SEGA of America, writes in the PlayStation Blog that there will be two content packs coming early next year.

It is not, however, confirmed which downloadable packs will be arriving. The Japanese version of Valkyria Chronicles had two downloadable packs. The first was a side story episode starring Edie, and the second one places players in the shoes of the villains against the protagonists. There was also an Extra Hard skirmish mode. The prices for these packs were 600 yen (US $5.60), 800 yen (US $7.50), and 300 yen (US $2.80), respectively.
