A few weeks ago, Microsoft announced that online co-op functionality for Fable 2 would not be ready soon enough to put on the disc. Rather, it would become available for download sometime after release. An exact date was not disclosed.

However, Microsoft just released an update as Lionhead recently completed development of the online component. It will be ready for download as a patch when the game hits the streets later this week.
