North American PSP owners have something to get excited about. Phantasy Star Portable is coming to North American shores. Phantasy Star Portable will contain a single player game, but the main draw for many players will be the four-player co-op mode. This mode will allow up to four players to play together using the PSP's ad hoc wireless mode.

Phantasy Star Portable has been a huge success in Japan with sales of over 70,000 units. The game, developed by Sonic Team, takes place after Phantasy Star Universe, and will see players once again engage in action oriented combat. The game is set for a release in North America in March 2009. There is no word yet on a European release date.
