FFCC: Ring of Fates

It was announced today that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates, which is being touted by developer Square Enix as "the most accessible Final Fantasy ever," will be made available to European and North American countries in spring of 2008. Fates, released in Japan on August 23, was the first Final Fantasy to be created for the Nintendo DS and utilize wi-fi capabilities.

The upcoming PAL version of Fates will include several features not seen in the original Japanese version, including new plot content, four additional quests and new language capabilities. It will be able to be played in English, French, German, and Spanish, and the multiplayer mode will "allow friends to play together regardless of their selected language."

With this most recent announcement comes the following from Square Enix president and CEO John Yamamoto: “With a strong focus on action and exploration Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates offers an exciting, fast-paced adventure. If you’ve never played a Final Fantasy game before, Ring of Fates is the perfect introduction and offers even more fun when played with friends.”
