Dawn of Mana

Square Enix recently dished some more battle details for the upcoming Dawn of Mana. In battle, the player will be able to pick up objects in the field and chuck them at monsters, causing them to go into a panicked state and making them defenseless for a period of time. As long as they are panicked, as shown in a meter above them, enemies take more damage and leave more money and medals when defeated.

Dawn of Mana is set for Japanese release on December 21 in Japan for the standard price of 7140 yen ($60.50 US) and is currently set to hit North American shelves in the first quarter of next year.

In other Mana news, the series is going mobile in Japan as a spin-off called Seiken Densetsu: Friends of Mana. In it, players will take on quests to help others to gain "happy points" to help the Mana Tree grow and make everyone more prosperous in the process. The game will also feature characters familiar to those that played Legend of Mana.

Seiken Densetsu: Friends of Mana goes live on October 18, and it will cost the standard 525 yen per month. Keep your eyes on RPGamer for news about these two games as it rolls in.
