Giving further confirmation of news that's been hinted at for the past few months, Namco has given the world its first glimpse at its first Tales game for the Nintendo DS via a teaser site. Now the game has an official name: Tales of the Tempest. According to Japanese site Quiter, this title was trademarked in Japan along with Tales of Howling, Tales of Doom Sign, and Tales of Two Faiths in October.
Tales of the Tempest stars 15-year-old protagonist Caius Qualls. The remote village Caius lives in with his foster father and two other people is attacked one day by Spot, an evil creature seeking a crystal. Following this, Caius sets off on an adventure to find his biological parents.
Tales of the Tempest's North American release date is currently unknown, and considering the series' track record, it's uncertain if it will make the trek at all. Japanese RPGamers will be able to pick up the game when it's released in Japan in 2006.
