Natsume has announced that Harvest Moon: Magical Melody for the Nintendo Gamecube and Harvest Moon DS for the Nintendo DS will be available in North America in Spring 2006. Each of these titles were released in Japan during March of this year and today marks their first North American announcement.

"Natsume is thrilled to bring two more wonderful Harvest Moon titles to our loyal and ever growing fan base", said Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO of Natsume. "The latest titles will bring many new exciting elements to the series"

In Magical Melody, the Harvest Goddess has turned to stone and the Harvest Sprites need help collecting musical notes to restore her to normal. There are 100 musical notes in the game for players to collect through doing a variety of things that each have varying difficulty to complete. There are many features in the game that fans of the series will come to recognize. There will be many different crops, a variety of animals to take care of, many festivals to attend, and many different events to take part in.

In Harvest Moon DS, the Harvest Goddess and Harvest Sprites have disappeared and it's up to the player to find them all again. This title takes place in Forget-Me-Not-Valley and the game will include characters from Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life for the Gamecube, and Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town for the Game Boy Advance. While doing many different chores, raising lifestock, and making friends, players must try to find Harvest Sprites. After finding them, they might help players do chores, unlock new activities, and sometimes even give hints on how to find the Goddess.

These two games remain un-rated by the ESRB at this time. Stay tuned to RPGamer as new details on these games are announced.
