In a bit of news that could be looked upon as "expected," it has been announced that Disgaea 2 will be coming to North America. The game is currently scheduled to be released in August 2006 for America, while the Japanese version has only been given a generalized 2006 release schedule.

Compared to the original titile, many familiar characters as well as many other things, such as combos, grid-pattern fields, and the Dark Assembly, make their return in Disgaea 2. The two main characters of this quest are Adel, a young man who decides to become a hero, and Rosalinde, a spoiled 17-year-old demon girl who is completely naive about the world. The two meet when Adel accidentally summons Rosalinde instead of her father, Overlord Xenon. After this mess up, it is now up to Adel to return her unharmed back to Xenon.
