New Pokémon Title in Development

In the latest issue of Famitsu, Nintendo unveiled a new Pokémon title currently in development for GameCube. Still untitled, the game is looking to be a fully 3D RPG set in the Pokémon universe. However, it is not known how the story of the game will relate to other games in the series if at all.

This will be the first complete Pokémon RPG not released on a handheld system. Released earlier this year, Pokémon Colosseum had a short RPG mode within it, but was not an entire stand-alone RPG as this upcoming Pokémon title will be.

The new GameCube Pokémon RPG has a tentative release date set for sometime in 2005. There has been no official word on the possibility of the title showing up on this side of the Pacific.
