Nintendo Releases Post-Holiday Agenda
11.14.2004

PHILLIP CLAYTON
CO-HEAD OF NEW UPDATES

Nintendo

On Thursday, Nintendo disclosed its North American release schedule for the first half of 2005. Amidst the platformers, fighting games, racing games, and survival horror tiles on the list lie projected release dates for a few RPGs.

The GameCube will be the host for a few high profile titles in the RPG genre. The next entry into the Legend of Zelda series on the GameCube is in development, and Fire Emblem: Trail of Blue Flames will ship in the second quarter.

Aside from Pokémon Dash, which is not an RPG but may still be of interest to Pokémon fans , the Nintendo DS portion of the list is void of the genre. Gamers will be able to use the system's backwards-compatibility on three RPGs that will be released for the Game Boy Advance, however. Fire Emblem 2 is slated for a second quarter release, Pokémon Emerald will ship in April, and gamers will be able to pick up The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap on January 10.
