The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap

Information has begun to come out regarding Link's next Game Boy Advance adventure, The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. The game takes place before The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures, and tells of Link's journey to prevent Vaati the Sorcerer from finding a mystic energy that will make him an unstoppable mage.

Vaati turns Princess Zelda to stone and sends monsters all over Hyrule. The King of Hyrule needs the help of the tiny Minish people, a race that secretly works to make the world a better place. However, they cannot be seen by adult eyes, so Link is sent on a quest to enlist their aid.

Once Link finds the Minish Cap mentioned in the title, he'll be able to shrink and speak with the Minish people face to face. Later in the game, they will give him the ability to turn himself into multiple Links. He will need to utilize this ability to solve different puzzles throughout the game.

The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap offers a number of new items to help Link in his quest. The Mole-Mitts can be used to dig holes. The Cane of Pacci flips jars, and the Gust Jar can blow out and draw in gusts of air. The Jar can also be used to suck in items, objects, and enemies, allowing them to be fired at other enemies and switches. Kinstones will also play a large part in the game; many secrets and puzzles will depend on the player's ability to fuse the Kinstones with different people.

The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap was released in Japan on November 4th. It is scheduled for release in Europe on November 12th, and in North America on January 10th, 2005.
