Sony Announces Treats for Potential EverQuest II Players

Sony Online Entertainment Inc. recently announced a special surprise for players anticipating the release of EverQuest II. The simultaneous ship date for North America and Europe has been changed from November 15 to November 8, thus making the long wait a little shorter.

SOE also revealed another treat: EverQuest II Collector's Edition. It includes several special in-game items such as paintings of EQII scenery to decorate the walls of the player's house, talking statues of important NPCs Antonia and Lucan, and a pet baby dragon. The package also includes a cloth map of Norrath to assist in exploration of the game's massive world. Outside of the game, buyers of the Collector's Edition can enjoy an exclusive art book, bonus DVD with game trailers, videos, and behind-the-scenes footage, a soundtrack CD, a collector's coin, and two posters. This package will sport a price tag of $89.99.
