Dragon Quest VIII Details Announced

Square Enix has unveiled new details concerning their upcoming title Dragon Quest VIII. Dragon Quest VIII will feature a new utility called an alchemic kettle. The kettle will grant players the ability to create new and even rare items, by tossing in two items from their inventory. Players will have access to the kettle whenever they are near the carriage. The alchemic kettle will be managed by Trode, the player’s monster-like companion.

Square Enix also announced that the soundtrack to Dragon Quest VIII. will be released on 12/22/04 in Japan. The two CD set will contain 38 music tracks. The price of the set is 3,045 yen (Euro 22 / USD 28).

Dragon Quest VIII is slated for release in Japan on November 27th for the price of 8,800 yen ($80.31 US).
