Funcom has announced that
assistant game director Marius Enge will now be taking over the duties of
game director for Anarchy
Online. Along with this announcement came an article from Mr. Enge
detailing the game's current state as well as vague plans for the
future.
The new game director commented on the latest patch for
Shadowlands, the latest expansion of Anarchy Online, saying that
currently many bugs from the game's previous version have been fixed. Enge
also commented on some gameplay upgrades, including "200 additional
improvements" that he deems substantial.
While elaborating on the future of this MMORPG, Enge said that the
near future would see tweaking of many components with a "goal to
increase the pace of game play... without compromising the intended and
unique challenges of Shadowlands." Enge also alluded to an expansion
set saying that it would "appeal to both was remarked that the expansion
would be pleasing to both veteran and novice players." He was clear that it
would "stay loyal to the Science Fiction theme and the original concept
of [Anarachy Online]."
