At a recent press conference in Tokyo, Yoichi Wada, president of Square, indicated that the upcoming Japanese spring release of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicle for the Nintendo GameCube might be delayed until the next fiscal year.

The original target month for release was March 2003, but the end of the current fiscal year is March 31, 2003. This means that the release of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicle could be pushed back to sometime after that.

A North American release date has yet to be confirmed, but with this delay the wait could be much longer than initially anticipated.
