Sony has signed on the orchestral might of the London Philharmonic Orchestra to aid them in compiling a collection of Dragon Quest music. The selection of tracks, which will include 92 pieces spanning the series' seven games, will be performed by the world-renowned musicians, and fill a total of twelve CDs. This will be packaged in a box set, which will come complete with nine action figures from the games.
Importers will have to wait a few months before the collection becomes available; Sony is currently planning a release date of January 22, 2003.
Naturally, such an assortment of gaming paraphanelia won't come cheap; given the costs of enlisting the orchestral talents of one of England's finest assortment of musicians, it's unsurprising that the price of the set weighs in at a hefty 12 000 yen, or approximately $97.00 US.
