WonderSwan Sees Korean RPG Action
Gransta Chronicles

Korean developer Megatron has announced details for its upcoming WonderSwan Color RPG Gransta Chronicle. The game, which the company describes as an "orthodox RPG," is being developed with an eye to a possible port to PDAs. The company is promising to take full advantage of the capabilities of Bandai's Japan-only handheld.

The main characters take on the oft-used roles of warrior, mage, cleric and thief. The generic motley crew will encounter up to 60 different enemies during the course of their adventure and will be able to find no less than 400 different items.

Story details are scarce, but what is known is that the tale will revolve around a mysterious tower in which a devil has been locked for the last 200 years. When a group of men enters, never to return, the heroes take on the task of discovering the secrets that hide within. Megatron has also added two-player capabilities to extend the life the title.

Gransta Chronicle is set to arrive in Japan before the end of the year, and, as is customary with the WonderSwan Color, it should be noted that no North American release details have been mentioned.
