Rave Gets Jiggy with the PlayStation
Konami

The PlayStation has been around for a long time now and the flow of games is slowing to a trickle, and RPGs are no exception. Thankfully, Sony's ailing console is still the future home of a handful of games, and Konami has made that list one item longer. The company used this past weekend's Tokyo Game Show to divulge the first information for Rave: Groove Adventure, an RPG based on a popular Japanese manga series, not surprisingly also titled Rave.

R:GA will feature a 2D overhead view and simultaneous multiplayer support for three people. Though battles are real-time, and thus focused on only one character, it is possible to give commands to the remaining party members. The game's main characters are named Angela and Eason, and these two meet up with the Rave characters Elie, Musica and Puru during the course of the adventure.

Few concrete story details are known right now, and no Japanese release details have been made public. Given the fact that few manga/anime adaptations find their way over the Pacific, Rave: Groove Adventure will likely only be available to those in North America willing to call up an importer.
