Morrowind and Santa No Longer an Item

It looks as though Bethesda Softworks' Elder Scrolls series won't see its latest addition usher in the holiday season this year after all. Originally set for release in November, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind has seen its release date pushed back by several online retailers, usually a good indication of a delay. Several sites have revised their estimated release dates for the PC and X-Box versions of the game to sometime next year, and EBGames.com is now showing the game's release as being in March 2002. There is still no official confirmation, however; Bethesda has been tight-lipped on either confirming the delay or whether it extends to both the PC and X-Box versions.

Morrowind takes place in a medieval fantasy world. With ten playable races and an epic storyline, the game is complemented by an advanced 3D engine and comes complete with a world-building tool. For more information on the game, check RPGamer's coverage.
