Phantasy Star Online Fees Revealed

Earlier today Famitsu Online reported the fees for Sega's upcoming Phantasy Star Online. Playing time will be sold in two units: the smaller, 30 day ration will cost 400 yen ($3.71), and the more cost-effective 90-day package will set Japanese gamers back 1000 yen ($9.27). Additionally, in an extension of Sega's recent "try before you buy" marketing philosophy, undecided customers can test-drive the service for 30 days free of charge.

The inexpensive game charges for PSO should come as a relief to fans eager for the game, but financially pressed. Sega is in the midst of a flurry of release information as Phantasy Star Online approaches its Japanese launch on December 21, with the domestic version coming the following month.
