Origin sues Small Website

A small web site was posting character illustrations, maps, logos, and background information about characters, game data, and cities for the upcoming massive-multiplayer online RPG Ultima Online 2 from Origin and Electronic Arts. Unfortunately, publishing any kind of information or screenshots without the owner's permission is illegal, and the website has been sued.

The webmaster, known only to us as Dr. Twister, was sent this information from an anonymous source, and claims that nothing he did was wrong. Had he looked up copyright laws, he would have found out that he was wrong. The information has been taken off the website, and Dr. Twister is waiting on Origin to make the next move.

Origin announced Ultima Online 2 on September 24th, and states that more information will be slowly told to us between now and next year's E3, where the game is expected to have a strong showing. We already know that Todd McFarlane, the creator of the Spawn comic book series, is doing the character creation and that the game will be in 3D, like Everquest.
