THQ Nordic is ramping up to the imminent release of Airship Syndicate's turn-based RPG Battle Chasers: Nightwar. Based on Joe Madureira's comic book series, and featuring characters and artwork straight from the source, Battle Chasers features randomly-generated dungeons and a deep JRPG-style combat system.

Braving the journey are six heroes, each with his or her individual talents, disposition, and utility in battle. In the trailer below, the spotlight is on Knolan, the wizened wizard of the group. Despite his frail and aged appearance, Knolan is a worthy ally to take into battle. Being able to cast ice lances and arcane missiles at his enemies at will is just the beginning. Hidden within his magic spellbook lies the ability to summon forth eldritch tentacles to beat entire groups of enemies into submission. He's also a handy healer in a pinch.

Knolan is just one of six playable characters in Battle Chasers: Nightwar. The game is officially releasing on October 3, 2017, and will be available for PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch.
