Okami

Originally released in 2006 for the PlayStation 2, updated with motion controls for the Wii, and upgraded to HD for the PlayStation 3, Okami is being released again as Okami HD on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC for £15.99 / €19.99 / $19.99. This release still has the sumi-e ink art style the original was known for, but the graphics have been updated to take advantage of modern high-resolution setups. Therefore, Okami HD will support 4K graphics on Xbox One X, PlayStation 4 Pro, and supported PC hardware. Players will be able to choose between the original 4:3 ratio or widescreen settings. Also, the interactive loading game screens from the original release are included, allowing players to collect demon fangs which can be traded for in-game items. A launch trailer, viewable below, shows off the visual upgrades.

In Okami, players take on the role of Amaterasu, the Japanese sun goddess who inhabits the form of a white wolf named Shiranui while on a quest to defeat Orochi, an eight-headed demon responsible for turning the world into a ruined wasteland. As a wolf, the player can tackle and use many different weapons, while the goddess side brings the divine powers of the Celestial Brush, allowing the player to paint new life into the world. Okami HD releases in North America and Europe in both digital and physical formats on December 12, 2017, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
