Sega announced Yakuza Kiwami 2, a remake for PlayStation 2 title Yakuza 2, following in the footsteps of its predecessor. The game will be released for PlayStation 4 in Japan on December 7, 2017. At the moment there is no news regarding a western release for Yakuza Kiwami 2.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is being built using the same engine as Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, and features a new scenario where Majima Goro is playable along with other new side stories.
