NIS America announced today that it will be releasing strategy RPG God Wars: Future Past in North America and Europe. The game, which was slated for a western release by Japanese publisher and developer Kadokawa Games, will be released physically and digitally for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in early 2017.

God Wars is heavily based on feudal Japan and Shinto mythology. It features three warring nations based on rival regions in the early days of the empire. Each of the three nations is led by a king or queen based on one of the main triumvirate of Shinto mythology.
