Nintendo has dropped a new trailer for Square Enix's upcoming Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past. The trailer briefly explains the Dragon Quest series as well as the story for the game.

Originally released in Japan in 2000 and North America in 2001 for the PlayStation, Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past is a remake for the Nintendo 3DS that initially launched in Japan in 2013. The remake moves the game to full 3D, makes enemy encounters visible rather than random, and features a complete relocalized scriptt. The game will be available in North America and Europe on September 16, 2016.
