The arrival date for the apocalypse is here, as Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse will arrive in North America on September 20, 2016. The recently announced European version did not receive a release date. The game will be available on the 3DS. A new trailer for the game was also released, showcasing the game's cast.

Apocalypse is a new title that takes place during the events of 2013's Shin Megami Tensei IV and follows a new protagonist, one who is called into the service of a god called Dagda to become a "God Killer". The game will feature over 450 demons to join forces with and an expanded partner system, allowing for one of seven allies to take part and level up with the player.
