Capcom brought plenty of Monster Hunter footage to show at this year's TGS, with both Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter X making appearances. Turn-based spin-off Monster Hunter Stories came with some screenshots and its first two videos, one a standard trailer and the other a story introduction. Monster Hunter Stories is due out for Nintendo 3DS in Japan in 2016.
Monster Hunter X, the latest mainline game in the series, received two videos. The first is the latest official trailer for the game, while the second is an introduction video to the game's new "Nyanter Mode". This new mode allows gamers to play as a Felyne Palico instead of a usual hunter. The Felyne Palicos are weaker than hunters and cannot use items, but have more mobility and support abilities. This mode also offers players a number of lives, indicated by acorns in the top-left on the screen. Monster Hunter X is due to be released for Nintendo 3DS on November 28, 2015.
