Square Enix's Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts series unsurprisingly made appearances at this years TGS, with new media released for Final Fantasy XV and the newly-announced Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 Final Chapter Prologue collection. The Final Fantasy XV media took the form of an extended version of the Dawn trailer released at Gamescom, along with some new screenshots featuring chocobos, fishing, Noctis, and Lunafreya, with a piece of artwork featuring Lunafreya also released.
Kingdom Hearts HD II.8, meanwhile, received an official announcement trailer. The collection is made up of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance HD, a remaster of the Nintendo 3DS title; Kingdom Hearts χ (Chi) Back Cover, a collection of cinematics telling a new tale about the series' Foretellers; and Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep: A Fragmentory Passage, a new playable chapter that follows the events of Birth by Sleep from the perspective of Aqua. Both games are planned for release in 2016, with Final Fantasy XV heading to Xbox One and PlayStation 4, while Kingdom Hearts II.8 is a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
