BioWare announced details of the third and final piece of story-based DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition at this year's PAX Prime in Seattle. Unlike Jaws of Hakkon and The Descent, which took place as side-stories to the main campaign, Trespasser works as an epilogue, taking places two years after the original story. As such it will only be accessible to players who have completed the game. Trespasser will be available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 8, 2015, with pricing yet to be announced.

The developer also unveiled a few new additions in the game's newest patch for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. If players have completed the game once, they will be able to transfer collectible items across playthroughs, including any other playthroughs that have not been completed. Transferring collectibles is done using a Golden Nug statue in the Undercroft and Haven, and is only available to games with an online connection on the same console. Players will also finally be able to dress their Inquisitor in a selection of coloured clothing other than the default beige outfit while in Skyhold.
