Platinum Games unveiled its new action RPG, Scalebound, during today's Microsoft briefing at this year's Gamescom in Germany. The game is coming exclusively to Xbox One, with its release period set for holiday 2016.

Scalebound stars a young man named Drew who appears to have the power to transform into a more scaly form, brining with it various combat powers. Drew adventures together with his large dragon companion, Thuban, on the world of Draconis, with the pair attempting to find a powerful artefact and facing off against an evil empire. The game is confirmed to feature four-player cooperative multiplayer, with some early images and the briefing video viewable below.
