EuroVideo Medien and King Art Games have announced plans to release The Dwarves on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2016. The game is based on the popular high fantasy novel of the same name by German author Markus Heitz, who is working as a consultant on the project, and stars Tungdil, a dwarf who grew up among humans.

The Dwarves is said to be a tactical RPG with a crowd-control and physics-based battle system that sees four combatants on the player's side able to take on hundreds of opponents. Tungdil will be able gather up to twelve allies throughout the story, each with their own backstory and skillset. The game is set to get its full announcement at this year's Gamescom, with the developer planning a Kickstarter campaign for the game later this year.
