Beamdog has revealed that it is following up its Enhanced Edition releases for Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II with Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition. The title will be released later this year for PC, Mac, iOS, and Android.

Icewind Dale was originally developed by Black Isle Studios and released in June 2000. The game uses Wizards of the Coast's Forgotten Realms setting, with gameplay based on the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition ruleset. The Enhanced Edition will include the Heart of Winter and Trials of the Luremaster expansions, along with cross-platform multiplayer, a new difficulty setting, and new items, quests, class kits, and spells.
