Bravely Default: Flying Fairy

Square Enix recently announced that the 3DS RPG Bravely Default: Flying Fairy would be getting a new version in Japan. This new version, which is amusingly titled Bravely Default: For the Sequel, contains a very large number of improvements over the original game. These include modifications to the battle system, improvements to the user interface, changes to towns and events, additional save slots, and more. As the name implies, many of these changes, particularly to the battle system, have been made to bring Bravely Default more in line with an apparent sequel.

One of the more interesting changes, however, is that For the Sequel will contain both Japanese and English language options. Accordingly, the Bravely Default official twitter account has rather unambiguously revealed that the game's western release will be based on the upgraded version.

Bravely Default is still on track to be brought to North America and Europe by Nintendo, though the release date continues to be somewhat vague. The only other news is that, in Europe, the game will receive a slight title change from Bravely Default: Flying Fairy to Bravely Default: Where the Fairy Flies.
