Capcom has unveiled Dark Arisen, which will be an "exciting and major expansion" for Dragon's Dogma. Very few details about the expansion have been revealed so far, and it is unclear whether it will be a DLC expansion pack or an entirely new retail release. Capcom has stated that players will be able to carry over save data from the original game into the expansion, however. Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen is scheduled to be released on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 next year.

The company also revealed that it will be providing two new free DLC updates to Dragon's Dogma in the near future. One will be a Speedrun Mode that rewards players for clearing the game as quickly as possible, and the other will be a Hard Mode that increases the game's difficulty and opens up the possibility of acquiring better equipment.
