In the latest Famitsu magazine, SEGA announced Shining Force Feather for the Nintendo DS. The game's developer is Flight-Plan, who also worked on Atlus' Summon Night series and Eternal Poison.

Shining Force Feather is a strategy RPG and the newest additional to the Shining Force series. While on the field, players will move their units on a top down isometric view and turn based system in the tradition of strategy RPGs. When facing enemies, the game switches to a side-view, showing the actions of your units and the enemy. The game is set for release in Japan sometime in Spring 2009. As of yet, there is no news as to a North American release.
