Endless Saga

Last year, Korean game publisher Webzen unexpectedly announced a fantasy-based MMORPG to be released on the PlayStation 3 and PC called Endless Saga. News has been scarce on this latest addition on the MMO front, until last week amidst rumors on the Internet, that it was confirmed that the game was cancelled.

Webzen confirmed to several gaming press agencies that the game was under product review at its headquarters in Seoul and that the product was not as "innovative" as some of the company's other projects. Instead, members of the development team and resources were reallocated to other projects such as Soul of the Ultimate Nation and APB.

Cancellation of the game, however, does not end Webzen's involvement with the PS3. Representatives noted that the company still has a relationship with Sony and will be bringing titles to the next-gen console.

Endless Saga was targeted for the Japanese audience and would have been released in 2007. Not much else was known about the title except for a trailer showing a female knight resting underneath a tree.
