The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Yesterday, Nintendo announced that its highly anticipated title, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, would not hit its original projected release date at the end of 2005, missing the 2005 Holiday season. Today, Nintendo Vice President of corporate affairs Perrin Kaplan was quoted as saying that the new date would come "after the conclusion of this fiscal year," which means that the title won't hit store shelves until April 2006 at the earliest.

Further, when Mr. Kaplan was asked about rumors that the game would be released on the Revolution instead of the GameCube as originally planned, he said that "...because of the backward compatibility built into Revolution, every GameCube game will also be a Revolution title. But we feel a commitment to the GameCube owners who've been patiently awaiting this new Zelda title, and don't want to force them to wait and buy a brand new system in order to play the game."
