Final Fantasy XI: Chains of Promathia

The world of Final Fantasy XI continues to evolve with the release of Final Fantasy XI: Chains of Promathia. The fanbase of Final Fantasy XI has reached well over 500,000 and continues to grow as the European version opened its doors this past week.

An unexplainable phenomenon known as the "Emptiness" has begun to tear away at the lands of Vana'diel and while once being a far off event, now represents an immediate danger to all inhabitants. The "Emptiness" reveals macabre lands full of unusual and powerful creatures that strike fear ino the hearts of even the most powerful. Is this "Emptiness" a tear in the fabric of Vana'diel or is this a new land altogether?

Final Fantasy XI: Chains of Promathia is available for both the Playstation 2 and Windows at a $29.99 price point. The original Final Fantasy XI game is now available for the new low price of $29.99 as well.

Square Enix has noted a problem with the installation of Chains of Promathia for the Playstation 2 version. If you choose to "stop" at any point during its installation, you may lose all Final Fantasy XI data, necessitating a complete reinstall of Final Fantasy XI. Keep in mind that choosing "stop" will bring up a prompt so that you don't have to worry about accidentally choosing "stop". If you do run into this problem then you will need the original Final Fantasy XI discs so that you may reinstall the game. Square Enix apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
