Namco Launches Official Xenosaga II Site
Xenosaga II

Namco maintained the Xenosaga wave of interest that's currently sweeping the Internet by unveiling today the official site for Xenosaga II: Jenseits von Gut und Boese, the highly-anticipated second installment in the series. The site is only available in Japanese, but since it mainly contains artwork at the moment, that's not a problem for the rest of us. No release details are known yet.

Interestingly, the site lists Yuki Kajiura as the composer, which has lead to speculation that Yasunori Mitsuda might not be taking part in the game's production. Kajiura has worked on numerous projects, including the .hack and Noir anime series, and Blood: The Last Vampire for the PlayStation 2. For further information on the artist, visit Kajiura's site, and check out this interview with her at Rocket Baby.

Also making its debut today was the Japanese homepage for Xenosaga Episode 1: Reloaded. The game is basically a re-release of the North American version of Xenosaga: The Will to Power, and it will feature English voice acting only, as well as additional costumes for MOMO and KOS-MOS. As added incentive for Japanese gamers to pick the game up for a second time, Namco is bundling a bonus disc with the game that contains footage from Xenosaga II: Jenseits von Gut und Boese.

Thanks to Kevin Gifford at the Gaming Age forums for the heads-up.
