Square's GBA Lineup Revealed
Square

Square today revealed their lineup for Nintendo's Game Boy Advance system. Apart from the Final Fantasy Tactics game already announced, Square's biggest surprise was the announcement of a new Final Fantasy game for the Game Boy Advance. Although little is known about the game at this time, it has been revealed that it will make use of the connectivity between the Game Boy Advance and the GameCube. Tentatively called Crystal Chronicle, the Game Boy Advance version should be available in Japan in the Spring of 2003.

Another surprise comes in the announcement of a new Seiken Densetsu game, the series best known in North America by Secret of Mana and Legend of Mana. It should be available in Japan in the Summer of 2003. Finally, a new chocobo-related game of a currently unknown genre has been announced, and will be available in Japan before the year is out. The Final Fantasy Tactics game is still scheduled for a Winter 2002 release in Japan. It is not currently known if any of the newly announced games will make it to North America, but with the popularity of the Final Fantasy name over here, it would be surprising if they didn't. RPGamer will bring you more news as Square's detailed announcement of each game arrives.
