The first "chapter" of Capcom's intriguing and ambitious serial RPG, El Dorado Gate, has been given a Japanese release date. The first episode of the 24-part Sega Dreamcast RPG will hit eager Japanese fans on Tuesday, October 10, for the low, low price of 2,800¥ (approximately $26).

El Dorado Gate chapters two and three will hit Japan by the end of the year, with all subsequent chapters being released one every two months. Capcom has yet to confirm or deny a North American release of El Dorado Gate, but considering the sheer scope of the project and the necessary marketing, it seems unlikely.
