Bandai Namco has announced that it is teaming up with developer Larian Studios to release Divinity: Original Sin II for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game will be released on console in August 2018, with that version featuring a revamped UI, online multiplayer for up to four players, and split-screen two-player local co-op. The console version is also stated to include extra features and content that will be revealed at a later date.
Divinity: Original Sin II is a distant sequel to 2014's Divinity: Original Sin, with both games being funded through Kickstarter. Original Sin II puts players in the role of a Sourcerer on a quest to become the next Divinity after the gods have abandoned the land of Rivellon.
