During E3 in Los Angeles, Natsume revealed that it will be releasing River City: Knights of Justice for Nintendo 3DS in North America and Europe on June 20, 2017. The game is the first of two upcoming River City titles from the publisher, with River City: Rival Showdown also planned for release this summer.

Also known as Nekketsu Mahou Monogatari, River City: Knights of Justice is part of the long-running Kunio-kun series and was originally released by Arc System Works in Japan in 2014. The game is a beat-'em-up RPG that sees the familiar characters from the series take on the roles of heroes and villains in a fantasy world.
