The Caligula Effect is out now for PlayStation Vita in North America, though publisher Atlus USA announced that it has had to push back the game's European release a week to May 9, 2017. The game is a digital-only release and is priced at $39.99/€39.99/£29.99.
The Caligula Effect is developed by Aquria, the same studio responsible for Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization, and was released in Japan by FuRyu in 2016. The game is set in the virtual world of Mobius, where its inhabitants are trapped by an AI/vocal program named μ. Players join the Go-Home Club, a group of people looking to escape and return to the real world.
