XSEED Games released a new character focused trailer for Akiba's Beat. The video briefly shows the game's eight main characters in addition to revealing the English voice actors for each one, who are as follows:

• Asahi Tachibana, voiced by Chris Patton
• Saki Hoshino, voiced by Erica Mendez
• Riyu Momose, voiced by Tia Ballard
• Yamato Hongo, voiced by Robbie Daymond
• Kotomi Sanada, voiced by Cherami Leigh
• Reiji Shinomiya, voiced by Ed Bosco
• Mizuki Aihara, voiced by Ray Chase

Akiba's Beat is a spiritual successor to the adventure title Akiba's Trip, but does not have any direct story connections. The game is set to be released for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in North America on May 16, 2017, before arriving in Europe on May 19, 2017.
